Drew may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his energy and big heart shine. He is the sweetest little guy-always ready to share and make others smile. On Halloween, a girl with a disability asked for a lollipop, which we did not have in our bowl. Without hesitation, Drew ran to get one from his own stash and gave to her. That kind of kindness is rare, especially in a 3-year old. He is proof that even the smallest kids can have the biggest hearts!
What are Drew (Gary Andrew)'s favorite activities?Drew loves playing board games - his current favorite is Guess Who, and he is getting pretty competitive! He enjoys spending time with his family and dog, Rudee, and recently learned to swim without a life vest. Living in Virginia Beach, he takes full advantage of pool, beach, and boat time. He also plays soccer almost every Saturday morning and looks forward to learning new skills from his coach each week.
How would $25,000 impact your family?If awarded the $25,000, we would put most of it toward Drew's college fund to support his future dreams (which change constantly at this age - doctor, firefighter, etc.). We would also set aside a portion for Drew to choose a charity to donate to - something important to us as we teach him more about kindness, generosity, and giving back.
