Luka

Luka is a joyful, energetic, and empathetic toddler who lights up every room. Quick to befriend anyone, he’s the first to offer a hug to someone in need. A helper at heart, he loves animals, volunteers for chores, and is eager to learn. Proudly a quarter Japanese, Luka is learning both English and Japanese. Thoughtful and kind, he loves to share his snacks and toys, always doing his best to make everyone around him feel included, happy, and cared for.

Luka loves a variety of activities that keep him curious and active. He enjoys reading, swimming, and hiking, always eager for new adventures. Playing at the park and caring for the chickens bring him joy, as does visiting family. Luka is always learning and exploring new things, whether through music (especially playing the piano), trips to the aquarium, or just having fun with his toys. He embraces every moment with a joyful spirit and a sense of wonder.

For our family, $25,000 would mean so much, helping us achieve two important dreams. First, it would allow us to take a family trip to Japan to visit relatives and teach Luka about his heritage. Second, it would help us expand our volunteer efforts and move to a larger space—one where Luka has room to run, explore, and play outside safely. We also dream of creating a safe haven for animals in need, where we can continue our rescue work and give back to the community.
