Maddix

Maddix has a rare emotional intuition—he can sense when someone is sad, anxious, or overwhelmed (even characters on TV) and responds with concern and sympathy. Though his speech isn’t where it should be for his age, he communicates empathy through expressive eyes, soft gestures, and a tone that brings peace. He lifts others out of hard moments not with words, but with a compassionate presence you can feel.

Maddix loves dinosaurs, sharks, and especially birdwatching. He spends time by the window watching colorful birds land on his feeder, excitedly trying to tell them apart in his own Maddix-style language. He’s athletic and loves to kick and throw a ball, but his favorite playmate is his little sister. Whether it’s hide and seek or running in circles, he’s always inviting her in with laughter and love.

Living on one income, we often stretch to cover debt and essentials. We recently had to pause Maddix’s speech therapy, which was helping him thrive. After an expensive IVF transfer, we were blessed with a pregnancy—but heartbreakingly, we miscarried. This gift would ease our burden, let us resume therapy for Maddix, and bring a breath of peace and hope to our home as we continue healing and holding onto faith for the future.
