I describe her as a sour patch kid because one minute she will be doing something naughty, and the next moment she can sweetly hug her brother and apologize, saying, "sorry maxi". She is super sweet and loving, and also independent. She will climb where she wants to in order to get what she wants, and if she can't reach it, she will go get the stepstool. She is an actress and describes with feeling and will reenact what just happened. She loves to make people laugh so she's super silly.
What are Makaiya's favorite activities?She loves to dance and sing. Any time music comes on, especially music like merengue or salsa or music with lots of energy, she is moving. She recently has started watching Danny Go and will dance and follow the movements. She likes to play with her brother. She likes to wear dresses and will change throughout the day. She steals my lip gloss and will pain her nails with markers.
How would $25,000 impact your family?We were missionaries in Nicaragua, I moved there in 2017 where I met my husband. In 2020 my sister passed away from breast cancer. Then right after I had Makaiya in Nov 2022, I had a cancerous tumor removed from my thigh, so we had to move back to the US. We live with my 84 yr old dad and we brought a couple of people on work visas to give them a chance to work here and save money. We need to pay off debt, and we have a non-profit in Nicaragua to create jobs so that people can work.
