Camila

Camila is a tiny force of nature wrapped in giggles and side-eye. She loves to lovingly terrorize her twin brother, keeps everyone laughing with her silly goose energy, and has had a legendary side-eye since her NICU days. Beneath her shy, curious exterior is a sharp little mind and a delightfully sly sense of humor. She knows what she wants, isn’t afraid to say “no,” and approaches life with a determination that reminds us daily: there is truly nothing she can’t do.

Camila loves playing mama to her babies, changing their diapers, and playing doctor while proudly showing off her ability to say “stethoscope!” thanks to her many medical experiences. She sings in the silliest voices, bosses Alexa around for Elmo songs, and keeps everyone on their toes. You’ll find Camila high-knee crawling at top speed, soon mastering life on her prosthesis. Everything she does is filled with joy, determination, and heart.

If Camila wins, the $25k would help fund advanced prosthetic technology to give her greater independence and access as she grows, allowing her to explore, play, learn, and participate in childhood with fewer barriers. And because every little warrior deserves some magic, we'd also take our miracle girl on a trip to Disney to celebrate just how far she's come. Camila's story began with impossible odds and this would help ensure that she is defined by where she's going, not where she started.
