Evelyn is 2 years old, and she wakes up every morning with a smile, running into my room for a giant hug while squealing "Mommy!" Each day is joyful as she wiggles and grooves to any song that comes on. She sings "Happy Birthday" to her friends even when it isn't their birthday. At school performances, she's the first to take center stage and bang on the instruments. She loves her big brother, and when he's sad, she pats him gently and gives him a hug.
What are Evelyn's favorite things to do?Evelyn's favorite thing to do is dance and sing. You can always find her bopping along to a Katseye song or making up songs with her brother. She's at peace when making art, and will sit on the floor for long stretches as she scribbles with crayons, or dips her hands in fingerpaint. Like all kids, Evelyn loves the park and will urge me to push her higher to touch the sky. Finally she has never met a dog or cat she doesn't want to pet and is the first to offer them treats and scratches.
What would your family do with $25,000?If Evelyn won the $25,000, we would put most of the money into a college fund to set her up for long-term success. We'd also want to give her opportunities to grow into exactly who she already is, with dance and music classes and experiences that feed her creativity and curiosity. Last, we'd spend a small bit of it to take Evelyn to Disney. She loves Minnie Mouse, and I think she'd love to experience a little magic.
