Kohlton has Autism, so his emotions change frequently, but that doesn’t stop him from expressing himself and showing love when he can. He is extremely adventurous and isn’t afraid to explore on his own. This mama has had to let go of a lot of “no” to let him get his energy out in as safe a way as possible.
What are Kohlton's favorite things to do?Kohlton loves to play outside. His favorite activity is swinging, followed by riding his bicycle. He loves to explore the backyard with digging, playing with balls and getting messy. Inside he loves playing kitchen while mom and dad cook in the kitchen. He jumps from furniture into pads on the ground, testing his jumping, landing and falling skills daily. Lastly, he loves a good cartoon and will act along with the movie, sing in his own language and is as entertaining to watch as the movie.
What would your family do with $25,000?As surprising as it seems, our personal insurance doesn’t cover any services for Autism. We were single income home for 13 years. So that money would be split. Half for his college if he is able and chooses to go, and half for sensory toys, pads for his safety in his room, and therapy sessions. There are so many safe sensory toys out there, but they are costly as they need to be safe and sturdy to support kids behaviors.
