Matthew

Matthew is an active kid who spends as much time as he can outdoors, asking questions and taking in nature. He's curious, thoughtful, so incredibly kind, playful, and imaginative! His happiness is positively contagious, which is perfect since he's so concerned with everyone around him being happy. Giving hugs, especially to his two smaller cousins and his grandparents, is how he shows love. He calls them "big, big hugs."

Matthew loves riding around in his "crabby car" (little tikes car), making and serving Play-Doh food, pretending to be a dinosaur, digging in the yard for fossils, and sharing his food with everyone's pets. If he could live in water, he would: beach, baths, splash pool, and the garden hose are the best. He plays Hot Wheels with Dad for hours and reads book after book with Mom each night. Bubble liquid doesn't last long around him, and when he's happy, he sings!

Matthew has an important surgery scheduled for the end of this year. With $25,000, we'd be able to take him to Disneyland to meet his favorite character, Mickey, with his favorite people either before his surgery or after he's recovered. We aren't sure how much of the surgery will be financially covered, so some may also go toward medical expenses. Anything left would go into an education fund for Matthew to use towards college, trade school, or another path he may choose after high school.
