Xander is a big personality and quite precocious! He thrives on being the silliest in the room and nothing makes him smile bigger than making others laugh. At the same time, he is fiercely independent. But above all, he is so determined and hardworking. Xander has been in speech therapy since he turned 2, and he amazes us with how hard he continues to try even when speech doesn't come as easily for him.
What are Xander's favorite things to do?Xander is first and foremost his brother's shadow. From the day he could walk, he has been trying to play alongside his brother as if they were the same age and not 3 years apart. He loves to pretend he is Spidey "swinging" around our house, to blow bubbles, and to swing. He enjoys helping to water the flowers, cruising on his balance bike, and reading all day long. And lately, he has loved covering all of us up with a big blanket to snuggle and watch Toy Story.
What would your family do with $25,000?Half of Xander's family lives in Thailand, where his dad is from. He has only met them once when he was 4 months old, and they miss him very much. We would love to plan an extended trip there so that both Xander and his brother can spend time with their aunt and cousins. They are half Thai, but they unfortunately get very little exposure to the Thai language and culture. We would be so happy to spend a few weeks there and really give them an opportunity to be immersed in that world.
